cinemâché is an Adelaide-based award-winning creative video production company who specialise in making exceptional video content that excites our clients and connects with their audience.
The name cinemâché (cinema + papier mâché) originated from our desire to combine our passion for narrative storytelling with our flair for meaningful advertising to ultimately produce compelling branded content that matters.
We are a tight, passionate bunch that takes real pride in every job that we are commissioned to do. By keeping our core team small and working with a handpicked network of specialists, we are able to take on projects of all sizes while safeguarding the close, collaborative relationship that our clients value from us. No challenge is too big or too small.
At cinemâché we don’t have a one size fits all approach, because let’s be honest one size does not fit all. We love stories that feel honest and true. That’s why we learn about what makes your brand special, what you’re experts in – the what, the why and the how of your brand and then we turn that into an engaging visual story that communicates your unique value to the right audience whether they are in the boardroom or in the living room.
By working directly with us, marketers can get more nimble service without going through the traditional ad agency model, which would subcontract production companies. As a boutique shop, we are agile and responsive, securing efficiencies and a lean model, all the while delivering distinct visionary work.
So don’t be a stranger, give us a call, drop us an email or make a time to catch up for a chat and let’s see how we can collaborate.
A filmmaker in the very widest sense, Daniel has over twenty years of experience creating work for top brands and was an integral part of the ‘Already Home’ campaign that won the Master Chair at the 2011 AADC awards.
Daniel cut his teeth making innovative music videos, winning a slew of awards and acclaim along the way including two Vimeo staff picks. As a post-production creative gun for hire, he honed his craft cutting and colouring award-winning commercials, shorts, television shows and feature films before hatching CINEMÂCHÉ with Marcus McKenzie.
In his spare time Daniel reads and makes comics and tends to his Adelaide Hills garden with his wife and daughter.
Daniel graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Screen and Media and an Honours Degree in Creative Arts (First Class).
A storyteller at heart, Marcus co-created the first original ABC iView dramatic series, ‘Wastelander Panda: Exile.’ He immediately followed it up by writing and directing his debut feature film, the outback thriller ‘Crew Cut’, for which Marcus was awarded Best Emerging Filmmaker at the South Australian Screen Awards.
In 2016, Marcus won Madman Production Company’s Million Dollar Babies feature film pitching initiative. He was also the only South Australian filmmaker to be selected to take part in Screen Australia’s Hot Shots Plus Initiative, writing and directing the AACTA shortlisted short film ‘The Projectionist’.
Marcus loves a good true crime novel and spends his Saturday evenings drinking lattes at cafes by the beach with his wife.
Marcus graduated from Flinders University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts majoring in Screen and Media.
